How my journey began.
As a young child, I was asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I confidently answered, “A teacher!”
I wanted to be a teacher since the age of three, and I fulfilled that dream in the traditional sense. However, my experiences have shown me that education and leadership come in many forms. My professional journey has taken me from being a high school teacher and administrator, to developing a wearable app and serving as a company’s Chief of Staff, to becoming an international leadership coach and curriculum designer. The toolbox is similar but with different blueprints (oh, wait- I also trained for fun as an interior designer 😊). My mission now is to support others in becoming the best versions of themselves as they forge their own professional paths in education.
Tamar Krieger is an educational consultant, curriculum designer, technology specialist, and leadership trainer with experience in formal educational settings, informal community building, and corporate team management. She leveraged her Master’s in Secondary School Education at the University of Pennsylvania to develop innovative student-centered curricula. Drawing on a variety of mediums, including blended learning, UbD, project based learning, group work, student constructivist approach, and modeling, Tamar has tried to tailor the approach appropriate for each group or objective, first at SAR High School (as Director of Student Activities and Grade Level Coordinator) and then at Kohelet Yeshiva High School (where she served first as Director of Education Innovation and Programming and then as Director of General Studies). Primary school students morphed into forensic scientists charged with investigating evidence left at a crime scene. High school seniors suddenly found themselves with drafting tools in hand, in a DIY architecture project that challenged them to customize their product to their clients’ needs while still trying to stay within a budget.
As Chief of Staff of an educational company, Tamar developed a data driven app geared towards improving mindfulness in children and spearheaded a strategic platform that enabled remote growth oriented collaboration. Tamar’s thesis and personal educational passion highlight the role of investing in relationships, in partnering with students and peers to actualize full potential.
Tamar’s Community of Learners Professional Development Series, empowers experienced educators to reinvigorate one another, as they share their areas of expertise. Her Blended Learning Master Class Series encourages teachers to engage multimedia and create dynamic classroom experiences.
Tamar is currently an international curriculum designer and leadership coach focusing on Jewish education and optimal ways to support teachers in becoming the best versions of themselves. Great teachers are able to create meaningful, inspirational experiences that build connections with their students; in the process, students become more empowered and connected to their heritage. Tamar also works on other projects that complement this work.
Tamar can’t wait to meet you! She will brainstorm with you to determine best options and tailor a strategy to achieve your goals.
“By doing what you LOVE, you inspire and awaken the hearts of others.”
